Peter & David: Morning After Arrival

It had been luck that had lead Peter to this lone wolf of a ranger, living out in his cabin in the middle of nowhere. The perfect place for laying low and figuring out what the hell he was going to do. After leaving Beacon Hills there was a lot he had to figure out as he escaped the things he had done to start anew. Nevermind that he'd been driven insane by the fire and coma while he had done them.

During his first night here Peter had left the pullout futon he'd been given and snuck up into bed with the attractive wolf, finding the actual bed in the place much more comfortable. That it came with a warm body to wrap around was a plus.

So, in the morning light, Peter was content. He had an arm around David and had him tucked back fitting perfectly against him, face buried against the back of the man's neck, and pleasant dreams that would likely leave the other wolf with no illusions as to whether or not Peter found the man attractive, what with the evidence thick in the air and pressed up against the other wolf's behind.

David was the sort of person who felt compelled to help those around him. He'd always been like that, just as he's always wanted to protect the forest. That was what brought him to a house in the middle of the woods with his five dogs.

When Peter had first arrived his dogs disliked him. Due to that reason alone David had asked them to sleep outside and keep an eye around the house. The futon that he'd given Peter had been the dog's bed during the colder months but it was now clean and made up for his guest. The whole cabin was clean and while it was small it had everything you needed. The internet was very slow and there was only a hardwired connection. There was also no cell service or phone line. It was a two hour drive to town so David only goes in about once a week or as needed.

What he didn't expect to find in the middle of nowhere was Peter.

David usually woke with the sun as it filled his small home with light. He heard the soft rustle of his dogs outside and then felt the heat of another body at his side. There was a sleepy notion in his head that he should be in bed alone but the thought slipped through his fingertips like water. His legs stretched out and one arm reached overhead before he turned. He felt the heat on his backside but it wasn't until his hips moved that he realized that Peter was in his bed or that it was very hot beneath the sheets.

In a suddenly panicked haze David bolts up only to hit his head on the roof of the cabin and ly back down. His fingers gingerly pressed against his forehead as he looked over at the other man.

"What are you doing in my bed?!"
